Physics Lab

For students to acquire the manual and mental skills associated with learning physics, the pupils are engaged in laboratory activities like taking measurement of physical quantities with appropriate accuracy, recognition of factors that could affect the reliability of their measurements, inference and reasoning from their observations and develop the skill and ability to rationally defend their conclusions and predictions. Butterfly field experiments with reference to topics related to the syllabus like force of gravity, projectile motion, momentum etc. are conducted in the physics lab.

Chemistry Lab

The curriculum that is being followed currently in TVIS covers a wide range of topics in Chemistry, with plenty of opportunities for practical work, and provides first-hand experience in observation and manipulation.

Objectives that are achieved through the use of the chemistry laboratory are: attitudes – for example, curiosity, interest, risk taking, objectivity, precision, confidence, perseverance, satisfaction, responsibility, consensus, collaboration, and liking for science

Biology Lab

All science teachers and students know that practical work is the ‘gem’ of science teaching. In Biology laboratory at Tapasvi International School students are made to use the Anatomy models and understand different theories and concepts which otherwise are complex.

Biology model emphasize the development of conceptual understanding, critical thinking, rather than memorization of facts. Students have different styles of learning. “Learning style” refers to the way individuals perceive, interact with, and respond to the learning environment. Models, Diagrams, Charts, Videos, rare photographs, posters and satellite images help children understand biology. The students reasoning skills are honed for constructivist learning and encouraging cognitive development.
